Product: HP STREAM 11 PRO G1
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I have forgotten my bios password and after attempting 3 times I am given a system diabled code of 88071148 

is there any way to get a backdoor code for this? One of my co workers told me that if I have the code i could look up the backdoor password to access the bios but I have been unsuccessful in finding this so called codex.

Using this 8 digit code does not require you to go to the BIOS to change anything.

 

It will remove the password automatically.

That is a HEX halt code and we do not have a master pass code generator for that type of code “YET.”

 

You will need to contact HP in your region and they should be able to send you a customized SMC.bin file which you can use at boot to reset the password.
