HP Spectre X360 Hinge Unaligned

HP Spectre X360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a Spectre x360-13 and the hinges are not aligned evenly. By being misaligned, the screen doesn't match up with the base when closed and it is difficult to get it in tablet mode. It is as if one of the hinge is broken or slipped a gear. Any Ideas on how to fix this?

I bought instore at best buy in Washington DC but I don´t live in the USA.

HP Spectre X360 Hinge Unaligned

Hello,

 

A little over a year ago I purchased a refurbished HP Spectre and I thought I was purchasing a protection plan through Amazon as well (which ended up only covering products up to $300). A couple months later, this past January, one of the hinges locked up, causing a similar misalignment issue to the one described above. As I attempted to "unjam" the hinge, by pushing lightly on the base of the screen, it cracked. Now the right part of the screen does not have touchscreen functionality (but still works generally. 

 

I really like this laptop, I understand it isn't covered under warranty but I would pay a reasonable price to get it fixed... alternatively I would like to be directed to purchase the parts (hinge and screen) to fix it.
