HP Stream 11 - Wifi Issues

Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I just recived my new HP Stream 11 (r010nr) Notebook yesterday. While everything seems to be working great so far, I am having issues with the WIFI staying connected.

While the WIFI icon states I have a connection, I continue to lose actual connection to the internet and it keeps giving me 'DNS_Probe_Finished_No_Internet' error, or states I have a Network connection error. I have been looking up and trying various things all day and still nothing seems to have fixed the issue.

I really don't know what to do. This sucks because even trying to download the drivers takes longer than it should with my wifi dropping constantly. Various other devices use the same WIFI connection with absoutely no issue. It is soely the laptop and something going on with it.

HELP. :(

HP Stream 11 - Wifi Issues

Hey @Ashalyn,

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome.

I have looked into your issue about your HP Stream 11-r010nr Notebook and issues with power settings of the Wireless Adapter. Here is a link that shows you how to enable away mode for the Wireless Adapter. It enables your computer to continue performing tasks, such as recording television programs or sharing video and music, even if you walk away from the computer. Specifically, when the computer is in Away mode.

Please let me know how this goes.

Yeah, that didn't work at all.

I'm just returning it because at this point, the only thing that would even make sense is faulty hardware.
