HP Zbook 15 G3
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I have HP ZBook 15 G3 with SIM card slot in it.

I use Windows 10 OS. But I don't see any LTE-like device in Device Manager.

On hp.com website there are HP Connection Manager for Windows 7, but not for WIndows 10.

So, there are few questions:

1. Does every HP Zbook 15 G3 have LTE module? If not - how can I check, if my laptop has this capability?

2. If my laptop has this capability - should I be able to see it somewhere in Device Manager? How it should look like?

3. Which tool can be used to setup LTE connection? Is HP Connection Manager the only option? Is it supported for Windows 10?

Thank you in advance!

Hi,

I think WWAN card is an option, did you buy this option ? Please check Device Manager, expand Network adapters you should see some devices. Does HP ltnnnn LTE 4G Module in there ? If not, please check your invoice/receipt to see its full specs.

Regards.

Hi banhien,

I am not sure about options purchased, since I've received this laptop from my employer.

I don't see something with "LTE" in Device Manager. But I have SIM card slot physically in my laptop.

Hi,

That means no WWAN card and the SIM card is useless unless you buy this option. As mentioned above, machines must have HP ltnnnn LTE card to be abble to use. My machine uses

    HP lt4114 LTE 4G Module

Your machine has one of the following options   (again option, not included by default😞

Wireless WAN - Mobile Broadband options***
HP lt4120 Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ X5 LTE Mobile Broadband Module (optional)
HP hs3110 HSPA+ Intel® Mobile Broadband Module (optional)

You have to buy this option or ask your boss to pay it for you.

banhien,

Of course, I fully understand that.

For laptop WITH this capability, that work under Windows 10 - which tool can be used to setup connection? HP Connection Manager? Where can I find version for Windows 10?

Thank you!

Any more recommendataions?

For HP ZBook 15 G3 laptops with LTE capability, working under Windows 10 - which tool should be used to setup LTE connection?

It looks like HP Connection Manager is not for Windows 10.

Thank you!
