HP elitebook 840 g1 pen compatibility

HP Recommended
HP Elitebook 840 g1
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I just bought a new HP Executive Tablet pen Gen 2 which I though was compatible with my Hp Elitebook 840 g1. But the screen clearly does not respond to the pen. To touch it responds correctly.

My question is. Is the pen even compatible to my notebook?

Thanks
