HP Beats S.E.15-p030nr
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a HP Beats Special Edition 15 p030nr laptop which I have been experiencing issues with for the last two weeks. It began as the computer simply freezing up, not able to load anything once it booted up and I logged in, and this resulted in having to gard boot the computer to shut it down. I completed a system restore of the computer, and this appeared to resolve the issue for a few days. Now, the computer heats up really fast and the fan becomes really loud, then the computer completely restarts itself over and over. It fully loads to the account, I log in and within 2-5 minutes the computer restarts itself. There is nothing that it set to load upon start up of the PC. The only thing other than school documents from professors and Microsoft Office 360 directly from Microsoft have been downloaded. The computer has hardly anything on it as I only use it for school.

I completed a system check scan which resulted in Failure ID: GU5B63-7NJ8K8-MFPWLJ-60XQ03 and Product ID: G6R14UA#ABA and the words Hard Drive Short DST Check failed, and Hard Drive 1.

I would appreciate any help with determining what this error code means so that I can go ahead and attempt to fix my laptop. It would crap out the week before exams start...thankfully I do have a back up of all important files from the computer.

Sounds like the hard drive has failed and will need to be replaced. If you are still in warranty HP will replace it. If not a retail 2.5" laptop SATA hard drive can be used. Just be sure to get one of at least equal capacity as the original in order to use HP Recovery Media to install Windows. It can be larger, but not smaller capacity. For instance if you have a 500GB hdd you could use a 750GB hdd but not a 320GB hdd.
