Hard disk 1 failed

Hp pavilion dv6-3108ea
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My laptop HP Pavilion dv6-3108ea fails to load Windows. The HP System diagnostics for hard disk failed the Short DST test with failure code QAMB88-5KV87T-XD014J-60T203. Does this mean I have to replace my hard drive? My laptop's product ID is LB809EA#ABU and I have Win10 -64 installed on it.

Please if replacement is option can you suggest in the interim while I get a new HDD

Thanks

Emunene

Please can you suggest any interim fix for now that I can manage before I get a new hard disk?

Again what sort of hard disk would you recommend?

Where do you live (country)? There is no interim fix.
