HP EliteBook 840 G2
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

Hello,

We purchased 15+ of the HP EliteBook 840 G2's to run Windows 7 32-bit with 4GB of total memory due to a client requirement to have to stick to this OS and 32 bit architecture.

The problem is that the laptops are only showing 2.6GB of available memory so we can't use the laptops as they are too slow.  We have around 3900 tower workstations which work fine (apart from the 800 G2) so it seems to be mostly the laptops that have this problem.

I've done the basics like upgrading the BIOS (M71 Ver 01.18) , Drivers etc but I can't seem to  get more available memory available.

Attached are two screenshots of the problem.

If anyone can help it would solve the largest problem for our company today.

Many thanks,

Thanks for reading.1.JPG2.JPG
