Help needed - installation of dual boot Windows 7 on pre installed windows 10

HP Pavilion 17-g146cy AMD
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Hi experts.
I've recently purchased HP Pavilion 17-g146cy AMD Quad-Core A6, 17.3” Touch with pre installed windows 10. I would appreciate if someone step by step guide me how to install side by side window 7 with windows 10 for dual boot as I wanna play some games like fay cry 3 etc.
Thanks for help in advance.
Best Regards

Irfan

I've already DISABLED "Secure Boot" and ENABLE "Legacy Support" in the "BIOS Secure Boot configuration and able to start windows 7 setup. However, getting a message that window cannot be installed on drive 0 on a a GPT partitioned disk. Which I've already shrinked/created new drive.

Help needed - installation of dual boot Windows 7 on pre installed windows 10

Hello,

Thank you for posting in the HP Support forum.

I am afraid that what you require may not be possible or at least is not that easy to achieve.

I just checked and your computer does not officially support Windows 7. It seems to me that HP doesn't recommend the installation of Windows 7 on this computer and on a consumer computer shipped with Windows 10, nor will it support the installation of Windows 7 - just in case you have some issues, you may be asked to update to Win 10.

I just checked and there are no drivers officially for the hardware in the computer for Windows 7. Also, Windows 7 may not support some of the hardware or software features designed for the computer (e.g. Win 7 touch support is not that good as in Windows 8 and 10).

Please, for more information, please refer to these articles and threads:

It is recommended that you stick to the operating system that came originally with your computer - e.g. Windows 10.

You may try with Windows 7 Virtial machine (VM) using the free Oracle VirtualBox inside Win 10 itself - not sure if this will work well for the games:

Please, let me know if you have any other questions - I'd be happy to assist you !
