Help on my Laptop, Hard Disk failed

Hi @Tiavita,

Welcome to the HP forums! It is a great way to engage, post questions and find resolutions by working with specialists in the HP community. I understand that you need assistance with your unit’s  hard drive that has failed. I’ll be delighted to assist you with this.

A commendable job was done by troubleshooting the issue. Hats off to you on that score. I am really impressed with your troubleshooting skills and levels of technical expertise and it is always a privilege to work with a tech-savvy customer like you. It is simply awesome to share this platform with you.

This is a clear case of getting the hard drive replaced as the hard drive has failed. If the computer is working, I request you to backup important information to an external source like a flash drive or an external hard drive before it crashes completely.  Please contact HP phone support either to get the hard drive sent out to you for replacing it or to get the unit serviced. Please visit this link http://hp.com/contacthp You need to select the country and language and follow the on-screen instructions.

Hope this helps!. Please let me know how this goes. If it helps, please mark this post as "Accept as Solution". If you require further assistance, let me know and I will gladly do all I can to help. If you wish to say "thanks" for my efforts to help, click the "Thumbs Up" button to give me a Kudos. I genuinely hope the issue gets fixed without hassles and the unit works great.

Take care and do have a splendid week ahead.
