I sent my laptop into HP to fix a line going through screen (which occurred in the BIOS as well). I received a call from them indicating they would not fix it as it appeared the laptop was dropped. I told the person i talked to that the laptop had never been dropped and wasn't sure what they were talking about. Once i received the laptop back from them after they failed to fix the screen the laptop was definately dropped (or thrown). Basically i sent in a perfectly good laptop with minor screen issue and received back a laptop that wasn't fixed and had additional damages. I'm not sure if it was damaged during shipping or damaged by the techs (they dropped it). What i do know is that the laptop had NO physical damage when it was shipped. HP has failed to work with me.
The only reason i sent the system in is because i knew my warrantee was about to expire. Had i known they would send me back a computer in worse condition than i received it would have just kept it and dealt with the line on the screen.
I highly recommend to anyone out there to no longer purchase HP products as this is lousy customer service. I will no longer by an HP for personal use or for my business.
