How do I turn on my internal webcam?!

I have been having this problem for the last two months. I cannot turn on my internal web cam. I have a HP Pavillion dv6 notebook. product # A1U60AV. I tried uninstalling the you cam and reinstalling it again. Could it be that I need to buy the updated version that it just stopped working all of a sudden? I even tried restore the computer to a previous month and that did not work. Please help!!
