How do you find out what your startup password is ????

Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)
It's only a week old. I'm not entirely sure which HP laptop it is but its touch screen and I don't recall making a 'startup' password

Please enter the incorrect password 3 times and reply to this post with an error code or the halt code, so I can reset the password for you

How do you find out what your startup password is ????

Hi ,
Even when I enter the incorrect password three times it just says 'loading' and asks me for the 'startup' password again. It's been doing so for the last day

If you don’t get Halt Code after entering incorrect password even after multiple attempts

Step 1: Shutdown the notebook, remove the AC Adapter and then remove the battery.

Step 2: Hold down the power button for 30 seconds, then remove the HDD

Step 3: Plug in the AC Adapter ( leave the battery out for the moment ), start the notebook and see if you now get a hash generated after hitting enter 3 times.

How do you find out what your startup password is ????

Hello,

Your Computer is a sealed or non-removable battery, use the following steps:
  1. Turn off the computer.
  2. Remove the computer from any port replicator or docking station.
  3. Disconnect all external connected peripheral devices such as USB storage devices, external displays, and printers.
  4. Unplug the AC adapter from the computer.
  5. For most notebooks, press and hold the Power button for a minute  to reset.
