How to change boot priority to dvd rom on probook 4530s, model A1D47EA?

HP Recommended

The manual does not help me at all. I can't figure out how to do it in the boot legacy order.

reboot then press F9 a boot device list will appear use down arrow or up arrow to select the dvd then press enter .. that should let you boot to the dvd
but only that 1 time.. if you want to boot to the dvd all the time you'll need to change the boot settings in the bios by rebooting then press F10 ..
be carefull unless you know what you're doing it could mess up the system all together.. hopes this helps

There is no option to boot from DVD at all.

No matter what I press, there is no option to boot from DVD (when I press F9 the only option to boot from is notebook hard drive...when I press F10, the boot legacy order, there is no option to boot from DVD.]

I updated the bios and all but still nothing.

Hi,

Press F10 to enter Bios.

Go to System configuration and choose Boot Options.

Remember to Save all new settings.

That option is not available. There is no option to boot from the DVD drive.

@Vrkolak

Hi,

There is a simpler solution.

Press F9 on startup and choose Optical Drive.

"Some of the boot devices and drive bay locations listed may not be supported on your
computer."

Again, there is no option to boot from optical drive.
