How to factory reset Windows 7 laptop without cd?

Product Name: Pavillion dv6-2173cl
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

How do i factory reset my Windows 7 laptop even though i dont have the cd?

Possibly? If you double click on My Computer  does it show two partitons on hard drive?

 

Have you tried tapping F11 immediately after powering on to see if it will boot into recovery partition?

 

Look through the link which shows how to use F11 to boot into recovery partition.

Only shows Local Disk (C;)

1.Right-click on "Computer" icon and select manage.
2.This will launch the Microsoft Management Console.
3.On the left side of the MMC, click on "Disk Management" and it will show you all of the partitions.

With no recovery partition you are out of luck since you apparently didn't make your Recovery DVD using HP Recovery Manager. I am almost certain HP does not still carry Recovery Media, but it wouldn't hurt to call and ask.  >>Contact HP
