HP Elitebook 745 G2
Linux

Hi All,

Does anybody know how it would be possible to get the wifi working on HP Elitebook 745 G2 in Ubuntu? I tried it with the bcmwl-kernel-source package and after installing it, the wifi looks to be working, but does not detect any wireless network. Any ideas?

Thanks a lot.

Roman

Posting to a Ubuntu forum to get your wifi help. I doubt HP elitebook has support for Linux or Ubuntu.

I had the same issue and found the answer here:

http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=300746

Just follow this steps:

1. Edit as root this file: "/etc/default/grub"

  - Find and modify GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="" to GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="intremap=off"

  - Save and exit

2. $sudo grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg

3. Reboot

Cheers,

Rafa

Hi,

I tried it, but without any luck. Unfortunately, since I was unable to solve the issue, I have changed the PC to another model and there are no issues with that one, so I don't have the 745 G2 anymore. Therefore I cannot test it further...
