How to identify previously repair notebook

HP elitebook 8460p
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

i got an HP notebook from online seller but i didnt check the back when i bought it.when i took it home and open the back seems like the plastic body on the back had been open.but not sure looks like it  had been patched to returned it back to normal look.

How to identify previously repair notebook

If it is in warranty you could call HP support and give them the serial number and they might be able to tell you otherwise I don't know of any way to find out if the notebook has been repaired.

Yes as per the seller it is in warranty however the seller haven't send me warranty yet.but thank you for the suggestion.
