Hp Pavilion G7-1365 DX Processor upgrade

Hi, I am wanting to upgrade my processor speed on my laptop to run games and unfortunately my laptop speed is currently at 1.50 GHZ and I am wanting to get it past 2.5GHZ I checked the users manual and it has this processor listed, AMD Phenom II N660 3 GHz Processor - Socket S1 PGA-638. PHENOM II N660 MOBILE S1 3.0G 2MB 45NM 35W 1800 MHZ TRAY AMDMOB. Dual-core (2 Core)  I am wondering also for future refernces also if all the processors listed in the G7 manual are compatible with all types of G7 notebooks. Long story short can I do this upgrade without replacing anything else ?

Hp Pavilion G7-1365 DX Processor upgrade

I don't see the "Phenom II N660 3 GHz Processor - Socket S1 PGA-638" CPU list in the HP Pavilion g7 Notebook PC Maintenance and Service Guide for your HP Pavilion g7-1365dx Notebook Computer. Please indicate which MSG you located this information in.

The following are the compatible CPUs in the MSG on your computer's support page;

AMD A8-3520M 2.50 GHz processor (1.6 GHz FSB, 1333 MHz/4.0 MB L2 cache, quad core, 35 W)
AMD A6-3420M 2.40 GHz processor (1.5 GHz FSB, 1333 MHz/4.0 MB L2 cache, quad core, 35 W)
AMD A4-3320M 2.60 GHz processor (2.0 GHz FSB, 1333 MHz/2.0 MB L2 cache, dual core, 35 W)
AMD A4-3305M 2.50 GHz processor (1.9 GHz FSB, 1333 MHz/2.0 MB L2 cache, dual core, 35 W)
AMD E2-3000M 2.40 GHz processor (1.8 GHz FSB, 1333 MHz/1.0 MB L2 cache, dual core, 35 W)

BTW... the factory AMD A6-3420M APU is rated at 2.40GHz.

If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
