Hi..
What's the OS on the PC..
Windows7 would not work fine with IE10 on it.
Actually IE10 has a lot of bugs on it..
Its better you stay with IE9 if you Windows 7.
If you have Windows 8, the default browser is IE10.
I guess its Win7 or previous version on the PC.
Better stay with IE9 or previous version.
If you already have it installed on the desktop then uninstall it..

Also if the HP Support Assistant is troubling you and if is not uninstalling.
Try this..
1. Reinstall the support assistant from Recovery Manager.
- Start >> Search >> Recovery Manager >> Software Reinstallation >> reinstall the support assistant from recovery manager.
2. Now download the latest version of support assistant from the website.
Link - www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html?jumpid=ex_r602_go_hpsupportassistant

Install the program and the problem would be fixed.

This "solution" almost worked! However I get an error message:

One or more of the selected driver(s) and/or application(s) may not have

properly installed and have been marked with "Exclamation mark". Please

uninstall these from the computer before attempting to install them again from

HP Recovery Manager. (error code=1602)

Help!
