@Reddevil3

Welcome to HP Forums,

This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂

As I understand you've been locked out of your computer and have trouble with the password,

No worries as I'd love to help, however, I need a few more details to provide an accurate solution:

What is the product number of your device? Use this link to find your product number: http://support.hp.com/rs-en/document/c03754824

(Do not share any personal information such as serial number, email ID, phone number or address on a public forum for your safety).

When was the last time it worked? Did you attempt accessing the safe mode by tapping on F8 during a restart? does it work?

Did you attempt any steps on your own to resolve this issue before posting on our forums?

While I await your response, try the below steps:

  • Use the password reset disk you may have created before you forget your password
  • Reset the password using a password reset disk if already created
  • Changing the password from another User Account in Windows 7
  • Accessing files and folders from an account when no other option is available
  • Related Support about forgotten passwords

Let me know how that pans out,

Feel free to post your query for any other assistance as well,

It's been a pleasure interacting with you and I hope you have a good day ahead.

If you wish to show appreciation for my efforts, mark my post as Accepted Solution.

And click on the Purple Thumbs up icon at the bottom of my comment.
