I need to install windows 7 on my Hp pavilion dv6 notebook. Also can help me with OS recovery CD.

Hi,

 

Sorry you can't download. You have to order from HP

 

            http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/bph07143

 

HP may charge you a small amount to cover P&H.

Sorry, but HP doesn't carry the recovery media for  a lot of the older DV6s.

 

If HP no longer provides Recovery Media for your model, a couple of other sites you should check are: http://www.computersurgeons.com/ and http://www.restoredisks.com/

Hi Can i prepare a recovery CD because when i try to install Windows 7 which I already purchased is asking for driver software when I try to install windows 7.

 

Please let me know if any option to prepare a recovery cd or drivers for installing windows 7 fresh.

Sorry, but I'm having problems understanding the problem you're trying to solve ...

 

You first said you wanted to download a recovery CD (which, by the way, does NOT exist).  You were then told there is nothing for download and to order HP Recovery Media (which is actually a SET of DVDs, not a CD).

 

I then told you that HP doesn't carry that anymore and provided you other places to contact to see if they have it.

 

My presumption was that you wanted to RESTORE a PC using Recovery Media.

 

NOW ... you are asking about CREATING recovery media, presumably from an already installed PC, right?

 

So, WHAT is it that you really need help doing??

Hi I am actually getting device drivers missing when I try installing thru USB. However I have sorted out using the USB 2.0.

However appreciate your reply.
