I currently have 6g Ram consisting of:

 

        4GB Samsung 1600 MHz

        2GB Hynix 1600 mHZ

 

I was thinking of buying 8g ram and putting it where the 2G one was. 

 

Will that be compatible, and which kind should I get?

Hi,

 

Yes, you can replace 2GB with 8GB, it supports up to 16GB. Currently it has 4GB of Samsung RAM, please use SAME information on existing RAM but with 8GB and install on your computer.
