Hi,

Your laptop has HDMI port and your monitor has VGA port. All you need is something called HDMI-CGA converter (not cable) such as:

Hi,

Do you mean CONNECT an external monitor to your laptop ? What is the model/product of your HP 15 (hundreds of models/products are out there). What is its Operating system ? What is the brand and model of the monitor ? Normally with a right cable/cord, you can connect an external monitor to a laptop in 2 minutes. Please use the following instructions for find out the model/product of your HP 15:

Yes, I meant connect. The laptop is an HP 15-g057cl Notebook with an operating system of Windows 8.1. My monitor is a Samsung 27" SyncMaster S22B150 VGA display.

Any help you can provide is appreciated.
