Hi guys, I've had my HP Envy for just over 2 years now, and already gone through one charger due to fault, and have had this new charger for over a year now which has worked fine till now. It is a genuine charger and of the right power output as far as im aware (19.5V, 6.1A, 120W) but only now does my laptop greet me with a message saying along the lines of 'thanks for using hp parts, you'll need a higher capacity output' and now my laptop doesn't charge but is kept alive when plugged in.
I've had so many issues with this laptop, it massively overheats, its massively slow, and the charge the battery holds has always been an issue, and I probably won't buy another HP.
Is it the battery, charger, or something different altogether?
Sorry for the rant but I hope someone can help.

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are getting a smart adapter error on the computer.
I’d love to help!
If you are getting this popup constantly, the smart adapter feature is not working as designed. I would suggest you uninstall the Quick Launch software, download and install the latest software from the following weblink.
If the issue persists, I recommend you to update bios on the computer and check it that helps.
Let me know how it goes and you have a good day ahead.
