Hey there! @mastersebi777, Thanks for stopping by HP forums!

I understand when you unplug the adapter from your PC the laptop is using more processing power.

Don't worry I will try to help you out.

Is your PC getting overheated?

How many applications are you running at a single time?

Try updating BIOS and chipset drivers on your PC and check if it helps.

As you have upgraded the operating system to windows 10, I don't see any drivers available at hp.com.

However, you can download and install HP support assistant on your PC and install the latest drivers for your PC.

Refer this article to know how to use HP support assistant.

Please let me know the outcome.

Happy weekend ahead! 🙂

@mastersebi777, It's great to hear from you again. I was much awaiting for your response.

Thanks for sharing the details.

As you mentioned when you unplug the adapter your laptop works fine.

Please provide the operating system you are running on your PC to assist you better.

What is BIOS version running on your PC?

Have you tried checking with a different adapter?

I have found the latest version of BIOS for your PC version F.43 Rev.A.

Please update the BIOS using this link.

You could have a bad power adapter.

The AC power jack on the board might have a problem.

The components on the system board that handle the switching between battery and AC power might be getting weak.

I'll watch your reply!

Have a great day ahead! 🙂

> but there another solution ?

Within "Settings", access "Power", and change the settings to "maximum performance" when on AC power.

If that was the current setting, change it to "balanced performance", and measure the CPU-speed (using Windows Task Manager).  Then, change the setting back to "maximum performance", and measure again.
