Laptop won't turn on

Used the laptop normally while it was plugged in. Shut down for the night. The next morning nothing happened when I hit the power button. Machine did not turn on, no light on...nothing.

No previous problems powering up. Generally maintain the battery charge between 70-100%; often use it while power cord is plugged in. 

First, I want to know if there are options I can try before doing a reset that will clear the memory.
