Laptop wont turn on

Hp pavilion star wars special
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
I was using my laptop as normal when it just shut down. I tried reseting it by disconnecting the battery and holding the power button but that won't work. The only signs of power going into my laptop is heat and that it can charge my phone. The cd player won't come out and the laptop is not emitting any lights. What do I do?

Laptop wont turn on

Hi @DiyDragon,

Thank you for posting on HP Support Forums. It is a great place to find the help you need, from other users, HP experts, and other support personnel. For you to have the best experience on the HP forum, you could also visit our HP Forums Guide for the First Time Here? Learn How to Post and More.

As I understand the computer is not turning on or is displaying only a black screen and the only sign is that the laptop is warm and it charges the phone. Don't worry we'll work together to find a solution for you,

To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

Was any update/reset interrupted, recently?

Have you made any software or hardware changes made on the PC?

When you try to turn it on, do you hear the fan running? Or do you get any beeping noises/blinking lights?

In the meantime, let's try these steps here:

Perform a Hard Reset

Attempt a Bios Recovery

Run the system diagnostics test as well as extensive test on the Hard drive and Memory from the F2

For more details, Click here

Let me know if those steps worked for you.

If they did, that’s awesome!

Give us some reinforcement by clicking the solution and kudos buttons, that’ll help us and others see that we’ve got the answers!

Good Luck.
