What is the fastest speed memory this board will handle? 2133/2400?
i know it has 2133 in it now but will it run 2400?
I owned a toshiba and it said 4GB was max, but I put 8GB in it and windows recognized it and it ran fine.
so what about this
HP Pavilion 15-au018wm
what is the max ram really? 32GB/ 64GB? the "official line is 16GB, i know. but what will work?

Well, you already know but one thing you may not know:
MemoryTwo SODIMM slots - customer non-accessible/non-upgradeable
DDR4-2133 Dual Channel Support (DDR4-2400 bridge to DDR4–2133)
Supports up to 16GB max system memory
4096MB (4096MB x 1)
6144MB (2048MB x 1 + 4096MB x 1)
8192MB (4096MB x 2)
8192MB (8192MB x 1)
12288MB (8192MB +4096MB)
16384MB (8192MB x 2)
Even you install 2400, it will run at 2133 anyway. If you wish to try 32GB or 64GB (in 2 slots ???) please go ahead at your own risk

I am just curious, the "official" line is 16GB. but will the board (and windows) ACTUALLY recognise more? (though not advised of course)
I have watched a video on how to dismantle the laptop and change the sodimms and SSD. not sure this one of mine has a SSD installed. I prefer a 2 drive system like my tosiba satellite was... but i digress
I have installed a new CPU in an HP... 112 screws! i have replaced 2 broken cell phone screens (nexus 4 and Ipone 4... kids..geez) oh and an ipod 4
I have read the official specs and i didnt know of any bridge though,,, thanks for that
as far as the "not consumer" ... offical line
well... maybe for some.......
what is the "experimental... we advise against this" line? what will this board REALLY do?
