Hi, the problem that i'm having is that every time that i try to use the microSD cardo slot, my laptop won't recognise the peripheral.
I already checked in Disk Management but it won't show up there either.
How can i fix this problem and if not, how can i send my pc back to HP to get one with a working microSD card slot?
Thank you in advance, Mattia

Please ignore the previous post.
- Have you inserted the Micro SD card properly?
- Are you getting any error messages?
To insert a card:
1. Hold the card label-side up, with connectors facing the computer.
2. Insert the card into the memory card reader, and then press in on the card until it is ƭrmly seated.
To remove a card:
▲ Press in on the card, and then remove it from the memory card reader.
For now, try these steps:
Please perform a hard reset on the computer first by following instructions from this link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_1997208-1551050-16
- Then update the bios and card reader drivers if available from this link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/hp-spectre-13-ae000-x360-convertible-pc/16779579 and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Shut down the computer. Then the moment you turn it back on, keep tapping the ESC key gently several times.
- IT takes you to the startup menu.
- Here press the F10 key to go to the bios.
- Then push the F9 key to load setup defaults
- Later press F10 to save changed and exit.
- Once you are booted back to windows please try the card reader with multiple memory cards and check if they work correctly.
- Also, check if these cards work correctly on a different device like your smartphone or iPad or another computer.
If they work correctly then perform all the prescribed steps from this link: https://hp.care/2DAWTXX (HP Notebook PCs - Using and Troubleshooting Memory Card Readers (Windows 8)
- Although the steps are for Windows 8, they are also relevant for Windows 10.
- Now check for issue resolution.
Please let us know the result.
Have a nice day!!

Thank you for the information.
Your computer has an SD card slot. You have to purchase the SD card adapter to use the micro SD card. Please see the image below.
You have to insert the Micro SD card into the SD card adapter and then install it on the computer. It will work.

I don't know why, but i don't think a SD card would fit in here haha
I guess the letters SD on the computer case confuse a bit
Jokes aside, i'm seriously desperate to find a solution to this problem!
