Minimized Image Recovery

Pavilion g6-2248ca
Microsoft Windows 8 (32-bit)
Performing a Factory image recovery preparation on an upgraded hard drive... Progress bar has been sitting at 100% and estimated time remaining: 1 minute(s) for about 2 hours now! Is that normal? I've already restarted it once before which did the same as described. How do I fix it please and remember it's a brand new hard drive! Old one HD failed and took for ever to copy partitions from it.(three days)
I used original USB Boot drive from download just after purchase! Any advice would help thank you

Welcome to HP Forums! I have read your post and wanted to help.

I understand that your laptop sat at 100% process for 2 hours during recovery, and got the same thing after restart. Here is a document may help: HP PCs - Troubleshooting HP System Recovery Problems (Windows 😎
