I'm trying to setup virtualbox and vagrant and I'm getting an error that requires me to edit the BIOS settings. I bought this laptop off ebay and don't know the BIOS administrator password. After three attempts it goes to a keyboard on the screen, then after I attempt my password again it locks the system.
How can I figure out my bios administrator password?

Thanks in advance?

Hello @MacNaughty

Welcome to the HP Support forum. Thank you for posting!

Most business class notebooks (including yours Elitebook and Probook) have better security. Password cannot be removed here in the forum - you will have to contact HP Business Support for assistance on removing the password.

Here is how:

HP Business support should be able to send you a customised SMC.bin file and instructions which you can use  to reset the password. Note that assistance for such issues is usually free of charge for HP business class computers even though their warranty may have expired.

Hope this helps. Please, mark the post as a solution if it helped.
