I'm sorry if I missed the part where to ask, but here's the q. I bought a new notebook(laptop) and installed my win7 on it, but can get no updates and wireless because it says no network adapter, there's an X on the graphic in menu. Can anyone help? 🙂

Hi:

What model HP 250 is it?  There is the G1 to the G4.

Please do the following so I can figure out what wireless card driver you need...

Go to the device manager and there should be a device labeled Network Controller under an Other Devices category.

Click on the Network Controller device and then click on the Details tab.

Now you should see a Property drop down list and it is set to Device Description.

Drop down on that list and select the second item (hardware ID's).

Post the top string of characters that you see in the window.

I think it's a G3.

String is
PCI\VEN_1814&DEV_3290&SUBSYS_18EC103C&REV_00
PCI\VEN_1814&DEV_3290&SUBSYS_18EC103C
PCI\VEN_1814&DEV_3290&CC_028000
PCI\VEN_1814&DEV_3290&CC_0280

All my other devices are missing i guess, they all have an yellow "!"

Hi:

You need these wireless and bluetooth drivers.

What model Intel processor does your G3 have?

The model processor you have requires special drivers if it is a celeron or pentium one, not found on the G3 support page.
