Greetings:

There is no Headphones Iconshowing on my Laptop.

Is HP ProBook 6555b missing Headphone Driver?

How do I Install the Headphone Driver?

Please advise.

Thank you - Curt

(7) Audio-out (headphone) jack

Produces sound when connected to optional powered stereo speakers, headphones, ear buds, a headset, or television audio.

NOTE: When a device is connected to the headphone jack, the computer speakers are disabled.

... I do the Headphone Jack on the Laptop. However, there is no Headphone Icon showing on the Computer. I see the 2 Speaker Icons.

How do I get the Headphone Icon on the Laptop?

Which Software/Driver to I need to Install so that I will be able to have Audio-Out?

Please advise.

Thank you.

It is curious that you see TWO such icons.

What do you expect to do with it, if there was such an icon?

Are you saying that when you connect headphones to the Audio-Out port on your computer, does it disable the internal speakers, as it should, and transmit the sounds into the headphones?  Or, do you hear "nothing" in the headphones?

Do your headphones work when connected to the audio-out port on your smart-phone?

Yes, 2 such Icons.

As Audio Output

When I plug in to the Headphone port on Laptop, NO -  it does not disable the Internal Speakers. The Sound could still be heard via Laptop Speakers.

UPDATE:  I figured it out yesterday. I now have Sound via the Headphone Port on my Laptop.
