Order of Device Drivers Installation

HP Recommended
Pavilion g7-1073nr
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I was given an HP Pavilion g7-1073nr without a hard drive or drivers.  I put one of my hard drives in and formatted it with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.  Needing to go to the manufacturer's website to download the drivers was, of course, a no go on that computer because of the lack of installed drivers.  So, I need to know what were the original drivers (chipset, network, wireless, graphic, audio etc.) loaded onto the computer at the factory and what was the order of installation of those drivers?  Thanks in advance!

Try installing HP Support Assistant which will automatically download and install drivers/updates:

Wish you luck,

Thanks a bunch for the order of installation!  Do you know the file names of the drivers that were originally installed on the HP Pavilion g7-1073nr from the factory? eg: Chipset-Intel Chipset Installation Utility and Driver, Graphic-Intel High-Definition (HD) Graphics Driver, Network-Intel Wireless Drivers for Microsoft Windows 7, etc.  Again, thanks in advance.

The factory did not install individual drivers on the PC; instead, they uses a system prep utility that loaded an image onto the machine -- one that already contained all the right drivers.

As to the drivers, here is the HP Product Page for that PC:  http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-g7-1000-Notebook-PC-series/5048677/model...

As indicated, load the Chipset drivers first, then reboot.

Where there is more than one driver, load the newest one -- which you can locate by clicking the Details box for each driver.

Where there are multiple drivers, due to different models having different hardware, you will have to find out what hardware you have and load the drivers for that.

Good Luck
