Parsing error

I have a Pavilion dv6700 laptop and I get the following parsing error consistently whenever I try to do with Firefox. I have uninstalled the NET Framework thing for Firefox to no avail.

The machine came with Vista and I have upgraded it to Windows 7 Ultimate.

HPHC_Scheduler,exe - Configuration parser error

Error parsing

C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework|v2.0.50727\config\maching.config

Parser returned error 0xC00CE556

I can't find the Scheduler thing and I can't find the Microsoft.Net Framework.

So....I don't know what to do and would appreciate any help. Thank you in advance.

This all started when I d/l the Windows Live Essentials. I have tried to delete it, but it won't let me.

Parsing error

Hi lagusta - I have exactly the same problem and was wondering if you managed to find a solution.  I suspect there is something wrong with the Microsoft.NET software but am not sure.

Please let me know if you found a solution.

Cheers

Parsing error

Hi

I am also getting this error each time windows vista boots up.

HPHC Scheduler.exe  Error parsing c:\windows\microsoft.NET\Framework\V2.0.50727\config\machine.config

plus similar errors for SmartMenu.exe and KbdStub.exe

I have reinstalled microsoft.Net,  this hasn't helped

I have removed HPHC from startup, this hasn't helped.

Any ideas?
