Password

Compaq CQ45
Microsoft Windows 8 (32-bit)

When i switch on the computer it fires up ok but then the blue screen appears and gives my name and underneath my email address and then asks for a password.

The name and email address have changed suddenly to one of my others which have never been used on that computer so no matter what password i put in related to that email address it doesn't work, even after changing it.

It tells me that i can't use it and to go to my Microsoft Account.  I have never set one up on Microsoft, everything has been done through Optusnet emails etc.

How can i get round this please??

Hi @Wreckedrec,

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A great place where you can find solutions for your issues with help from the community!

I came across your post about the Notebook, and wanted to assist you! I have looked into your issue about your Compaq Presario CQ45 Notebook and issues with Password sign into Windows. First have you tried removing the email and password and try to login this way. Here is a link to Microsoft for assistance with Passwords.

I hope this helps.

Thanks.
