It was purchased in 5/6 years ago (i3). Lot of technology changes have taken place. The existing Lap top, does not permit Mirror casting, Multi monitor display extendability and more.  I want to upgrade mother board to a higher one (say I7 or something like that) which will give better performance and features missing now.

 

MBs are available on web sites , but could not decide whether it matches to my lap top in all aspects. 

 

Can some knowledgeable person recommend a list of mother boards (affordable is appreciated) for my Lap top.

Hi,

I would NOT recommend such an upgrade. You need a new mtb, heat sink and the cpu. That's a lot's of money as it's very hard to get a RELIABLE product from eBay or Alibaba. I don't think HP have it in stock and if it could like £400 for a new mtb.
