Problem with startup

I have a problem with my laptop startup

I have used the HP diagnostics software and i am getting the following with the hard disk test

Hard Disk Short DST: WARNING

Hard Disk Optimized DST: PASSED

Hrd Disk Long DST: WARNING

Does this mean i need to replace my hard drive? Or do you thing i can just format it?

Re: Problem with startup

If you have any working unit, then you can connect this Hard disk drive on that to make sure its not a unit issue. Since in some cases when you run the test on the HDD it gives Not Available, but the issue was related to HDD.
