Elitebook 8560w (PN:LG660EA)
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I just discovered that my 8560w has a bios password in place. ( I wanted to flash the bios with a fix that the elitebooks don't charge the battery when battery is very low - my battery is at 3%) But I can't flash the bios without the password.

Just in case you were wondering it is a new charger and battery.

Now, I've tried the obvious battery thing, but now Bios is at default and is still locked.

I've also tried Massifs USB tool - None of the 23 models listed work. (22 - Probook 8560w does not work)

Anybody that can help?

Yes i did - I also tried them one by one - Got various Error messages ranging between the following:

Error code = 0x89

Notebook is not supported (1631)

Failed to load defaults, error code: 89

All gives the above 3 is some variant, EXCEPT for #22 - Probook 8560w - This entry replies:

 Bad command or filename

Could it be that the modelname should be Elitebook 8560w?

Thanks Reo
