Elitebook 850 G3
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

We have a lot of problems with our HP 840 and 850 G3 notebooks in combination with HP 2013 slim docking station and external displays connected.

For some reason the external displays start turning off (screen goes black) and back on at random.  Displays are connected to the docking via display port or VGA.

We have already installed the latest drivers, bios, firmware for the laptop docking and displays.

This happens on about 30% of the devices. At the current we have about 500 these devices.

Is someone else having these problems?

A BIOS update is available now, 1.10, which should fix this problem - sp76966

I work for HP. However, all opinions and comments are my own.

hello

yes we did update the docking with "UpdateTool_hp_Ver2_30_000.exe" but the problem keeps going on.

Maxing the video memory setting in BIOS seems to have helped in one case for me.
