Solved!

Second Monitor with Windows 10

HP Recommended
HP 8560w PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I upgraded to Windows 10 and my second monitor will not work. On Windows 7 I was running my second monitor using a 3.0 USB port. Apparently, Windows 10 does not support this configuration. How can I run my second monitor in Windows 10 using either a 3.0 USB port or VGI port?

Thanks in advance.

I suggest using a USB 3.0 video adapter.  StarTech makes very good products.  I would use their Chat Live option to have the Tech tell you which adapter would work best with your laptop.  I have used this option several times with great success.  The Techs are very knowledgeable.

I'm running an additional monitor in Win10 from a USB connection, but it uses a USB-to-VGA adapter, and to get it to work, I had to install the drivers that came with the adapter.  Before I did that, Win10 did not even see the monitor.

Good Luck
