I purchased my Spectre 360 convertable 15" about a month and a half ago but just started to have problems 2 weeks ago. The fan run about 80 to 90% of the time - eratically - under no process load and when completly cold. It is load and completely unacceptable.
I have spent hours with HP customer service and tech support and they were able to fix the issue for about a day and then the problem comes back.
HP finally said that it is a hardware problem and they told me to send it to their repair facility.
After researching this issue I have learned that this has been an ongoing issue with HP Spectres since 2015. Of course in speaking with tech support, 4 different HP techs have never heard of this problem. REALLY ?????? are these jokers for real?
I am reluctant to send this laptop to HP because after reading the forum discussions and independent research I have NO CONFIDENCE that this issue is repairable. Many customers have complained that the laptop was returned without the issues being corrected and HP responde by saying there is no problem with the machine.
I paid over $1500. + tax for this top of the line laptop and I want on that works like a normal machine. Is this possible - or should I get rid of this piece of junk and bash HP for ever and ever through social media?
Hi, I hope I can help. I'm from Italy and like you I'm an HP customer.
I'd like to investigate in your PC temperatures. Could you download and run the famous monitor utility HWINFO? And posting the screen here. Also a full screenshot of your task manager is apreciated, especially when the the fan spin very loud.
