Good Day,

I need assisstanc with fixing my keyboard. I accidently spilled sugary coffee on the keyboard, thereafter a drained all the liquid out of the keyboard and computer. the computer is now working but the keyboard is not working as the keys are sticky.  How do i remove the sugary substatance from the keys without damaging the keyboard.

Thank you.

The only way I know to do that is to do the following:

1) shut down the laptop

2) following instructions in the Maintenance and Service guide, remove the keyboard

3) Wash the keyboard in soapy water to remove all the residue

4) Let the keyboard drive for at least 24 hours, preferrably, longer

5) Reinstall the keyboard in the laptop

Without the detailed laptop model number, I can not check to see if HP supplies the Maintenance and Service guide for it.  So, please provide that information.

We can proceed once you provide the information.

Thanks
