HP ENVY TS 17 NOTEBOOK
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have the following error message.  How do I fix it?

AccelerometerSt.exe - System Error

The code execution cannot proceed because VCRUNTIME140.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem.

Hello @Jodi_HPNV

Welcome to the HP Support forum. Thank you for posting !

The error happens because the software AccelerometerSt.exe required Microsoft Visual C++ redistributable package (additional Microsoft software) to operate correctly. For some reasons it gor corrupted.

Reinstall it. If you already have it present in Control Panel > Programs and features, go there and uninstall all related Microsoft Visual C++ redistributable packages. Re-download the latest version and install it - taken from :
