HP Notebook 15-f300 touch
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi currently I backed up my files so that I could reset my laptop to factory. Now at first everything goes fine when I start the recovery (I used cd-r disks) but then I get to #7/13 of the disks and it keeps saying that the destination drive is disconnected. I honestly don't know what to do, I don't want to lose my important files.

As I understand you are having a problem restoring the backup files onto your computer. Don't worry as I have a few steps to help you get through this concern,

Let's try to perform a Hard reset on the notebook:

Next thing, I would suggest here is to remove the disc and then try to clean it properly with a soft cloth and then try to initiate restoring the file,

If the issue persists once again on the same disc, which clearly indicates that it could be an issue with the disc itself. This would also suggest that the backup was not successful.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you need any further assistance. I'll be more than happy to help.

Feel free to post your query for any other assistance as well,

It's been a pleasure interacting with you and I hope you have a good day ahead.
