Where can I download the latest Windows 10 drivers?

Envy 15-J100

Hi,

 

The Windows 10 64 bit drivers seem to be very old for my lap top, where are the lates drivers?

Welcome to the HP Support forum

 

 

If you already have Windows 10 installed, you can update your drivers using Windows Update or Device Manager. This is the recommended method. Here is how:

Where can I download the latest Windows 10 drivers?

I have tried both Windows update and HP assistant, no new drivers can be found. The problem is that you had the 2016 dated drivers online like two months ago, now there are only between 2013-2015 dated drivers. So can you kindly bring back online the 2016 dated drivers?

 

The old drivers are not working that well, fro example the audio drivers (HD audio) are glitching.

Yes, it seems you are correct.

 

Usually, if there are driver updates, such will be updated/provided from Windows Update/Device Manager update method or HPSA... It's a bit strange what you say.

 

I will check with my HP contacts to see if this can be fixed or if there is any explanation. Please, be patient. Will get back to you once I have some news.

Sorry for the delay.

 

I got a reply that whenever HP posts drivers they are the latest available stable version. If they get pulled, and replaced by older ones that means there may have been an issue with the driver file. Or they were posted incorrectly or something. However, this is not final and the check is still in progress.

 

I see you have posted your model to be Envy 15-J100

Could you also post your product number as descrived here >> http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00033108

Could you also be more specific which drivers you believe do not work - I guess some of them are not OK in your opinion (not literally 100%) ?

Ok, thank you for your reply.  So the model is 15-j119so and product number is G1N99EA#UUW. The AMD HD display driver and IDT HD (beats audio) driver are not working properly. The display driver stops responding watching youtube videos and the sound randomly breaks.

 

If they could fix those two drivers, that would be great! I have the latest Windows 10 version with the 1607 update.

Thank you for the update.

 

Can you also try to post the hardware IDs of the affected hardware - e.g. audio and video cards. Here is how >> http://www.wikihow.com/Find-Hardware-ID

 

Have you considered performing a Windows reinstallation - so that you could rule out other things that may have interfered with the issue. Reinstalling Windows will get you fresh clean start and will eliminate any other possible causes for the issues. Clean install will automatically install you latest Windows 10 edition 1607 + updates.  Let me know if this is an option for you and I can provide you with step by step guide.

Generally speaking, this model comes with Windows 8.1 and is best working with Windows 8.1

Where can I download the latest Windows 10 drivers?

Ok, so I downloaded the drivers from your site, no solution. Watching youtube videos still almost impossible. The audio driver is dated 2013 and the video driver is dated 2015. I guess the windows 10 drivers will not be updated anynore by HP, and I will not go back to windows 8.1. This laptop is just broken with windows 10 installed, if you can not provide proper drivers.
