Where to find a genuine KI04 battery?

HP Recommended

I have been struggling to find a genuine KI04 battery for my HP Pavilion 15t-ab000 laptop.  HP's website doesn't carry it, and for the third time, one that I bought that was advertised as genuine turned out to be counterfeit (one purchased on Amazon, two purchased on eBay).

Am I out of luck in getting a genuine replacement battery for my laptop?  Why would HP stop selling it?

Hello, @PinkJazz – Hope you are well 🙂

Thanks for your continued participation on the HP Forums! I’d like to help!

I see that you are looking to buy the battery for your HP Pavilion. Please check HP part store: http://bit.ly/2i0EWeM

Select your country and enter the product number. If the battery is available, you can also place the order.

If unavailable, you can always contact the HP phone support to order the original battery.

HP Technical Support can be reached by clicking on the following link: http://h22207.www2.hp.com/us-en/?openCLC=true

(1) Once the support page opens please select the country in which you're located. Next, enter your HP model number on the right.

(2) Next, choose the 'Contact Support' tab at the top and scroll down to the bottom of the 'HP Support- Contact' page to fill out the form provided with your contact information.

(3) Once completed click the 'Show Options' icon on the bottom right.

(4) Lastly, scroll down to the bottom of the page and select 'Get phone number.' A case number and phone number will now populate for you.

I hope that answers your concern adequately. Let me know!

Good luck 🙂
