Wifi connects but will not connect to internet - pavilion g7-2010

So my pavilion g7 windows 10 laptop, connects to the Internet, I can use it momentarily, about an hour or so and then it shuts off, the Internet does. Then it'll sit there for quite a bit (a couple hours) and then turn back on, but it goes on and off and at the same time that my phone and tablet and my mother's windows 7 computer that still uses the internet. No problems.. I have tried almost everything and I am unsure of what to do.. I need help. I have turned off the router and restarted my computer and used cmd as administrator and all of these processess do not work. It's very frustrating.

Hi @Airframe10,

Welcome to HP Forums! I have read your post and wanted to help.

I gathered the information that the laptop disconnects from WiFi connection after 1-hour usage and the laptop shuts itself down automatically.

If the laptop shuts down unexpectedly, please run the hardware failure tests:

HP Notebook PCs - Testing for Hardware Failures (Windows 10, 8)

To troubleshoot the wireless connection issue, please follow the document below:

HP PCs - Troubleshooting Wireless Network and Internet (Windows 10)

Let me know how it goes.
