Pavilion 360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have split the 128gig drive into 2x64gig and now Win10 is complaining about a lack of space to do updates! I have only installed one application from new, I have tried all the normal house keeping to create space.

So now I am thinking of complete reinstall, how do I get a minimal Win10 and how large is that?

Does the sample programs included with a factory reset take much space and can they be removed totally?

It would not be my preference but you can install Windows 10 in "Compact" mode or compact an existing installation.

This is how OEMS including HP actually deliver some machines with a 32 gig eMMC disk. People who have those would think they died and went to heaven to have 64 gigs.

Also you want to eliminate hibernation and reduce virtual memory and set it to a fixed amount:

Of course you want to get rid of unused apps and put the library folders (documents, pcictures, etc.) over to the storage drive.

Thanks for those links, it looks like it should be fine in 32gig, so I have something taking more space than it says.

I will follow those instructions to remove all applications and see if I can get to the numbers listed.
