Windows 7 Product Key

I had Purchased a new HP Desktop Pentium E5300 with Vista the came with an upgrade option to Windows 7 -- Had to mail away for upgrade to windows 7-- went to www.hp.com/go/windows7upgrade -- was sent install disc and proceeded to install-- now it is asking for product key to activate that was not sent with. PC was purchased from Best Buys. Is there a way to get the product key to fix or do I need to downgrade back to Vista?  Thank you
